The purpose of The Spotlight is to bring attention to the talents of student writers. This is YOUR opportunity to shine!
Who can enter?
Students in grades K-12
What are the rules for submitting your work?
* Poems cannot be over 21 lines long.
* Poems must be in English.
* Poems must be your original work.
It is important that you understand the significance of plagiarism. Plagiarism is copying someone else's work and submitting it as your own.By sending in your work, you are stating that the poems you submit for The Spotlight is YOUR original work.
If you are interested in having your work displayed, send your original poetry to

All submitted work will be displayed for one month.
